Wynn Resorts is going all in on it’s sports betting app WynnBet spending $100 million on advertising during the upcoming NFL & College Football season. Launched last year the app is currently live in Indiana, Michigan, Colorado, Virginia, NJ, and Tennessee. We will be seeing the WynnBet software being used in other legalized markets such as Iowa & Nevada and eventually when legalized in Markets like New England & Ohio.
Up until recently federal regulation barred sport betting from being advwertised on television. Now that regulation is no more and we expect to see a huge flood of television commercials. Caesers Entertainment will be spending the most with a whopping $1 billion in advertising over the next 3 years.
Next biggest spender as you can imagine is FanDuel & DraftKings who used to flood each commercial break to the point of regulation. Last year they spent $311 million in ads and that was 3x of their spend in 2019. 2021-2022 will see those numbers increase.
Nielsen intel reports detail that sportsbooks will have spent over $150 million in Q1 locally on tv commercials. Shaq is a current brand ambassador and consultant for WynnBet. To comply with NBA rules he is selling his stake in the Sacramento Kings so he must be all in on the sports betting train to sell off his stake in an NBA team.
