Seattle Seahawks (4-4) vs. Los Angeles Rams (8-1) at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, California

NFL Week 10: 4:25 ET on Sunday, November 11, 2018

It’s a great NFC West showdown on Sunday when the Seattle Seahawks take a trip down I-5 to take on the Los Angeles Rams. This is a battle of an aging franchise still looking to hang on to its glory and a young team looking to establish itself as the dominant team in the division, if not the NFL.

Seattle leads the all-time series between these two teams 23-18-0. Los Angeles has won the last two contest between these two teams, including winning a 33-31 victory over Seattle in Week 5.

Chargers Upset Seahawks 25-17

The Seattle Seahawks have lost just two of their last six games. Unfortunately, both of those losses have been two teams from Los Angeles as they fell to the Los Angeles Chargers last weekend, 25-17. Seattle would score first, but would give up 19 unanswered points and would trail by nine heading into the half. Each team would add a touchdown of the fourth quarter, but Seattle could get no closer in the eight-point loss.

Russell Wilson completed 26 of 39 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. The running attack continues to struggle for Seattle, as Mike Davis had 62 yards rushing on 15 carries. Doug Baldwin had four catches for 77 yards.

The Seahawks are averaging 23.5 points per game while giving up 19.5 on average.  Russell Wilson is averaging only about 220 yards passing per game, throwing for 1791 yards and 18 touchdowns this season. He has only thrown five interceptions but has been sacked 25 times this season. Chris Carson leads the team in rushing with 497 yards and a 4.5 yards per carry average. Tyler Lockett has six touchdown receptions.

Rams Drop First Game of Season

The Los Angeles Rams finally met their match on Sunday as the New Orleans Saints recorded the last 10 points of the contest to defeat the Rams 45-35. That snapped the eight-game winning streak of Los Angeles to begin the season, ending their bid for an undefeated campaign.

Jared Goff played exceptionally well in the loss, completing 70% of his passes for 391 yards and three touchdowns. Todd Gurley was held to 68 yards and a touchdown and Brandin Cooks led the team with six receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.

After a disappointing 2017, Dalton has rebounded this year, throwing for 17 touchdowns and 2102 yards. He has just eight interceptions this season. Mixon has 509 yards rushing and is averaging 4.8 yards per carry. Boyd has become the favorite target for Dalton, making 49 catches for 620 yards and five touchdowns. A.J. Green leads the team in touchdown receptions with six.

Los Angeles is averaging 33.2 points per game while giving up 22.2 on average. Goff has thrown for 2816 yards and 20 touchdowns with only six interceptions this season. He has completed 67.9% of his passes. Gurley has been an MVP candidate early on, rushing for 868 yards and 12 touchdowns. Robert Woods leads the team in receptions with 51 for 743 yards and three scores.

  • 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight games in Week 10.
  • 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games in November.
  • 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games on the road when facing a team with a winning record at home.

Los Angeles:

  • 7-2 ATS in their last nine games in Week 10.
  • 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against NFC West teams.
  • 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

The Winner Prediction

Los Angeles is favored by 10 in this game and there are a lot of reasons to believe they can hold serve on that. They are 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams in Los Angeles and are a team averaging 33 points per game. However, this is still a good Seattle defense and although the Rams are going to win, they are not going to win by 10. Take Seattle and the points.

The Pick: Seattle Seahawks (+10.0)

The Total

These two teams are averaging better than 55 points per game but they are only giving up 42 per contest. These are two good offenses, but they are two exceptional defenses and that should keep the scoring down.

The Pick: Under 51.0
