“Kobe’s inspiration to basketball is legendary. As a kid from Chicago who loved MJ, I found young Kobe emulating what Mike passed to generations. I strived to copy Kobe’s work ethic. Lakers/Clippers games I’d try his moves only to hear “I know what u about to do..That’s my move fool.
Tower Saint John’s Imaging toy drive was a success. Among the major contributors was Corey Maggette who is stepping up philanthropy in the community after the tragic death of his friend and former opponent Kobe Bryant. Maggette a former professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers who is presently a sports analyst for Fox Sports was devastated by the recent news. Now Corey is stepping up efforts to spread the word and is glad to help needy children and hopes that he will help inspire others to do the same as Kobe Bryant did for the community.
Corey Maggette and his Christmas donations shined and gave a happy holiday to children that wouldn’t of had a happy holiday without his donations. They included dolls, action figures, basketballs, and arts and crafts kits. Maggette and other contributors managed to raise thousands of toys for Towers Saint John’s toy drive.
The toy drive benefited a number of organizations including Salvation Army, Chai Lifeline, and Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles. Chai Lifeline brings joy to the lives of seriously ill children. Jewish Family Services deals with preserving and strengthening family, individual, and community life.
