Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final: Bruins +100 at Blues -120

Blues lead the series 3-2

  • Baltimore Orioles vs. Houston Astros

The Astros defeated the Orioles 4-3 in the opening game of a three-game series in Houston, overcoming a three-run deficit to clinch the victory in the 11th inning. It was the Astros’ 15th victory over the Orioles in their last 17 head-to-head duels and 10th straight win against Baltimore at Minute Maid Park.

Prior to their Saturday’s clash, the Orioles lost 15 of their last 19 games overall, while the Astros won 13 of their last 18 contests overall and 15 of their previous 20 outings at home.

The Orioles will start Dylan Bundy, while the Astros will counter with Wade Miley. Bundy is 3-6 in 12 starts this season with a 4.64 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP, and the right-hander is 0-1 in his three starts and one relief appearance against the Astros. Miley is 1-2 in his four starts against the Orioles, but the left-hander is 5-3 this season with a 3.39 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP, and the Astros are 7-2 in his previous nine starts.

After barely avoiding an upset in the opener, the Astros should close down this series in a strong fashion, especially with Miley on the mound. The Orioles lost 16 of their 23 duels against the left-handed starting pitcher this season, so take the Astros to cover the spread. If we take out Saturday’s contest, nine of the Orioles last 13 losses in Houston came by two or more runs.

  • Houston Astros over Baltimore Orioles by two or more runs

  • Boston Bruins vs. St. Louis Blues

The St. Louis Blues upset the odds with a 2-1 victory at the Boston Bruins in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final to take a 3-2 lead in the series and get one step away from winning their first-ever championship. The Blues had help from the officials who missed to call on the obvious illegal hit that led to the winning goal, but rookie goalie Jordan Binnington was the biggest part of St. Louis’ success.

Binnington made ridiculous 38 stops with a .974 save percentage to record his 15th victory of the postseason and set a new record for the most saves in the Stanley Cup Final game.

However, the Bruins will be keen to bounce back and stay alive in this series, and considering how unpredictable the Stanley Cup is this year, you shouldn’t be surprised if they force Game 7 on the home ice. Hereof, we suggest you take the over on the totals at some nice wages despite the fact that both goaltenders are playing in a great form.

The over has hit in three of the previous five games in this series, and both duels at Enterprise Center saw at least six goals in the total. The Bruins scored seven goals in Game 3, and Jordan Binnington will have a tall task to replicate his performance from Thursday night. Also, four of the Blues’ last five contests at home were finished in the over.
