  • Washington Nationals vs. Houston Astros

For the first time in the World Series history, the visiting team has won each of the first six games. Now, it’s onto Game 7 to decide the winner of this crazy series, and I would avoid taking any action. Just sit down and enjoy the game.

Zack Greinke will take the mound for the Astros. He’s 0-2 in four starts this postseason, tallying a 5.30 ERA and a 1.61 WHIP. Greinke pitched 4.2 innings in a 4-1 victory in Game 3, allowing seven hits and a run while striking out six.

Max Scherzer will get the ball for the Nationals. He’s 3-0 in five starts this postseason, recording a 2.16 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. Max pitched five innings in the opener, surrendering five hits and two earned runs while striking out seven.

The Astros had a huge chance to finish the job last night. However, the Nats’ bats did a terrific job, while Stephen Strasburg allowed five hits and two runs in 8.1 innings of work. Interestingly, the Nationals outscored the Astros 24-9 in Houston.

  • Tampa Bay Lightning vs. New Jersey Devils

The Lightning (5-4-2) lost at the Rangers 4-1 last night, suffering the third defeat in the last four outings. Now, they will play back-to-back, visiting the most rested team in the NHL, the New Jersey Devils (2-5-2). The hosts are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Coyotes this past Friday.

However, the Devils are the worst team in the Eastern Conference. Their defense is the second-worst in the NHL, allowing 3.78 goals per game, while their goalies have a .870 save percentage which is also the second-worst record in the league.

Furthermore, the Devils lost five straight encounters with the Lightning and are 5-13 in the previous 18 head-to-head duels. New Jersey is 5-10 in its last 15 outings at home, while Tampa Bay is 13-7 in its previous 20 road matchups with the Metropolitan Division.

The Lightning are 14th in the league in goals per game (3.09) and 18th in goals against (3.27). Their defense is certainly an issue, but I think Tampa Bay’s offense will be too much for the Devils. Give me the visitors at the money line odds.

  • Tampa Bay Lightning -150 over New Jersey Devils

  • Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves are both 3-0 on the season. The Sixers are listed as strong favorites here for a reason, considering Joel Embiid has returned from an ankle injury. With Embiid in the paint, Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves will have a mountain to climb.

Embiid dropped 36 points on the Hawks this past Monday. The Sixers barely outlasted Atlanta 105-103, recording their second straight win on the road. They opened with an impressive 107-93 victory over the Celtics at home.

On the other side, the Timberwolves are coming off a 116-109 win to the Heat. They won the first two games of the season on the east coast, defeating Brooklyn 127-126 in overtime and Charlotte 121-99. Karl-Anthony Towns is leading the way for the T-Wolves with 32.0 points and 13.3 rebounds per game.

The Sixers are 5-0 SU and ATS in their last five meetings with the Timberwolves. Likewise, the Sixers covered in nine of their last ten encounters with Minnesota. Hereof, give me the hosts and points.

  • Philadelphia 76ers -6.5 at -110

  • Toronto vs. Atlanta

We saw a massive upset last night, as Seattle defeated Los Angeles FC 3-1 as a +550 underdog in the Western Conference Finals. Toronto will try to make another surprise, visiting the reigning MLS champions as a +300 out-of-towner.

Atlanta hasn’t allowed a single goal in two outings in the postseason. The reigning champs beat New England 1-0 in the first round and Philadelphia 2-0 in the semis. On the other side, Toronto outlasted D.C. United 5-1 in the first round and New York City 2-1 in the semifinals.

During the regular season, each team has been victorious at home. Atlanta defeated Toronto 2-0 back in May. The previous two meetings in Georgia between these two teams were finished in a 2-2 draw.

Atlanta won 11 of its last 12 outings at home, while Toronto won two of its previous eight MLS contests on the road along with five draws and a loss. Toronto scored in each of those eight games. Hereof, I would go with the totals instead of taking the side bet.
