About Travis Pulver

Sports are not life to Travis but they sure as heck do make life a lot more fun. Over the last few years, Travis has worked for several news-oriented sites that focused on sports, especially football, baseball, basketball, and to a lesser extent boxing and MMA. Having grown up in the football-crazed state of Texas football is his first love. According to his mother, he was more excited to watch NFL and college games as a baby then Sesame Street or Mickey Mouse. His passion for sports quickly spread to baseball (favorite team is the Houston Astros), basketball, and track and field as a kid. It wasn’t until his college years that he discovered the tremendous game of rugby. If you want someone who has a passion for the game, Travis is the journalist for the job! Travis graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a masters in Political Science. Prior to that, he attended IU Purdue in Indianapolis, Indiana where he earned his Bachelors degree in Political Science and earned his first degree at Texas A & M in Galveston, TX, a BS in Maritime Administration. Travis, a native Texan, has been blogging about sports and other subjects for several years. He currently lives in Indiana (is a basketball fan but hates going to the Indy 500) with his wife and two adorable kids. Posted on December 31, 2019, by Travis Pulver Most of the championship talk in the NBA has centered around two teams, the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers. But not without reason, of course. With the additions both made in the offseason, they are undoubtedly going to be in the championship conversation all season. […]

Posted on December 29, 2019, by Travis Pulver The Miami Dolphins have been known to give the New England Patriots trouble, but usually when the Pats come down south to Miami. But with something to play for late in the season, this one should have been easy for the Patriots. That’s why oddsmakers had them […]

Posted on December 20, 2019, by Travis Pulver With Anthony Davis and a rejuvenated LeBron James leading the way, the Lakers have big expectations this season. The end goal, of course, is to become champions and win the NBA Finals this year. But to keep the team motivated and working towards something during the season, […]

Posted on December 19, 2019, by Travis Pulver The Houston Texans (9-5) were in a must-win situation last week against the Tennessee Titans. The race for the AFC South was already tight. But since they won, they were able to hold onto the advantage— however, the division is not locked up yet. To that end, […]

Posted on December 16, 2019, by Travis Pulver The world expects Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to fire his head coach, Jason Garrett, eventually. After a string of disappointing losses, it looked like there was a chance he could do it Sunday if the Cowboys lost to the Rams. At 6-8, they would still have […]

Posted on December 08, 2019, by Travis Pulver This time of year is both wonderful and depressing, and not because of the Holiday Season. No, it’s because college football’s Bowl Season is about to start, and we now know which four teams are in the college football playoffs. But as great as that is, it […]

Posted on December 07, 2019, by Travis Pulver Heading into Championship Weekend, the College Football Playoffs were close to set. Ohio State, LSU, and Clemson are in, but Georgia will be out barring an upset win over LSU in the SEC title game. That meant the Utah Utes could get the Pac-12 back in the […]
