About Travis Pulver

Sports are not life to Travis but they sure as heck do make life a lot more fun. Over the last few years, Travis has worked for several news-oriented sites that focused on sports, especially football, baseball, basketball, and to a lesser extent boxing and MMA. Having grown up in the football-crazed state of Texas football is his first love. According to his mother, he was more excited to watch NFL and college games as a baby then Sesame Street or Mickey Mouse. His passion for sports quickly spread to baseball (favorite team is the Houston Astros), basketball, and track and field as a kid. It wasn’t until his college years that he discovered the tremendous game of rugby. If you want someone who has a passion for the game, Travis is the journalist for the job! Travis graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a masters in Political Science. Prior to that, he attended IU Purdue in Indianapolis, Indiana where he earned his Bachelors degree in Political Science and earned his first degree at Texas A & M in Galveston, TX, a BS in Maritime Administration. Travis, a native Texan, has been blogging about sports and other subjects for several years. He currently lives in Indiana (is a basketball fan but hates going to the Indy 500) with his wife and two adorable kids. Facebook: Twitter: @FatManWriting Email:

However, for once, the team may actually be worth watching this season—but not until October. […]

The running backs and wide receivers could be just about anyone; Tom Brady just needed bodies. However, with Tom Brady missing the first four games of the season, the ‘bodies’ […]

Posted on July 21, 2016, by Travis Pulver Carmelo Anthony made a call to action in the wake of the police-involved shooting deaths of two black men. He called on athletes to use their celebrity and power to bring about change—and it looks like the NBA front office listened. The NBA has announced that the […]

Posted on July 21, 2016, by Travis Pulver New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the best in the business. Yes, even though he is only going into his third season in the NFL, it is safe to say that he is one of the better wide receivers in the league. […]

Posted on July 19, 2016, by Travis Pulver Arian Foster was one of the best in the business when he took the field for the Houston Texans. The former practice squad player turned rushing champ made the most of the opportunity he had with the Texans. In seven seasons with Houston, he set four franchise […]
