About Travis Pulver

Sports are not life to Travis but they sure as heck do make life a lot more fun. Over the last few years, Travis has worked for several news-oriented sites that focused on sports, especially football, baseball, basketball, and to a lesser extent boxing and MMA. Having grown up in the football-crazed state of Texas football is his first love. According to his mother, he was more excited to watch NFL and college games as a baby then Sesame Street or Mickey Mouse. His passion for sports quickly spread to baseball (favorite team is the Houston Astros), basketball, and track and field as a kid. It wasn’t until his college years that he discovered the tremendous game of rugby. If you want someone who has a passion for the game, Travis is the journalist for the job! Travis graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a masters in Political Science. Prior to that, he attended IU Purdue in Indianapolis, Indiana where he earned his Bachelors degree in Political Science and earned his first degree at Texas A & M in Galveston, TX, a BS in Maritime Administration. Travis, a native Texan, has been blogging about sports and other subjects for several years. He currently lives in Indiana (is a basketball fan but hates going to the Indy 500) with his wife and two adorable kids. Posted on January 11, 2018, by Travis Pulver The NBA taught the NFL a lesson today. If you want people in London to become fans, you must send some bonafide stars over there. You have to schedule good teams that are capable of playing a competitive, entertaining game—which is what NBA fans got in London with […]

Posted on January 9, 2018, by Travis Pulver The New Orleans Saints had the toughest test to get past during Wildcard Weekend. Yes, they had beaten the Carolina Panthers twice already. But the Panthers came in with revenge on their minds and a very good defense. The question was whether they could muster enough offense against […]

Posted on January 9, 2018, by Travis Pulver During Sunday’s AFC Wildcard Game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills, it didn’t look pretty. Neither team’s offense looked great. That could be because their respective defenses played well. Or it could be because neither offense is very good. Whatever the reason, someone had to come out on […]

Posted on January 4, 2018, by Travis Pulver Oh, what a difference a year can bring. In 2016, the New Orleans Saints struggled to win games because their defense couldn’t stop a Pop Warner scout team offense. The Carolina Panthers were hit with the dreaded Super Bowl hangover and finished last in the division. Both teams […]

Posted on January 3, 2018, by Travis Pulver Regardless of how it plays out, the 2017 NFL season will go down as a good one for the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars. Buffalo finally ended its playoff drought after 17 years. Jacksonville went from being the team everyone expects to beat, to the AFC South Division […]

Posted on January 3, 2018, by Travis Pulver As cliché as it sounds, Saturday’s NFC Wildcard game between the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams is really a tale of two teams (Charles Dickens would be proud). In one, you have the defending NFC Champion. In the other, you have the new kids on the playoff […]

Posted on January 3, 2018, by Travis Pulver When the 2017 season began, the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs were in similar yet different positions. The Chiefs had been a good team, but one that was unable to take the next step and become a true contender. Tennessee was a team with promise that many […]

Posted on January 2, 2018, by Travis Pulver If you watched the first CFP Semifinal game between Oklahoma and Georgia, chances are the excitement and drama had you a little worn out by the time the Sugar Bowl started. When it finally did, it quickly became clear who had the upper hand. Alabama’s defense may have […]
