About Travis Pulver

Sports are not life to Travis but they sure as heck do make life a lot more fun. Over the last few years, Travis has worked for several news-oriented sites that focused on sports, especially football, baseball, basketball, and to a lesser extent boxing and MMA. Having grown up in the football-crazed state of Texas football is his first love. According to his mother, he was more excited to watch NFL and college games as a baby then Sesame Street or Mickey Mouse. His passion for sports quickly spread to baseball (favorite team is the Houston Astros), basketball, and track and field as a kid. It wasn’t until his college years that he discovered the tremendous game of rugby. If you want someone who has a passion for the game, Travis is the journalist for the job! Travis graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a masters in Political Science. Prior to that, he attended IU Purdue in Indianapolis, Indiana where he earned his Bachelors degree in Political Science and earned his first degree at Texas A & M in Galveston, TX, a BS in Maritime Administration. Travis, a native Texan, has been blogging about sports and other subjects for several years. He currently lives in Indiana (is a basketball fan but hates going to the Indy 500) with his wife and two adorable kids. Posted on November 10, 2019, by Travis Pulver Whenever people talk about rules pertaining to Las Vegas, probably the only one that comes to mind is ‘what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.’ But from what several media reports are saying, it sounds like San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane may be taking that rule […]

Posted on November 2, 2019, by Travis Pulver It has been a rough season for the New York Jets. It began full of hope and promise but then quickly spiraled out of control when Sam Darnold came down with mono. Since his return, they have managed to win a game. But then things took another […]

Posted on October 27, 2019, by Travis Pulver To some, such a question may seem ridiculous. They would say that it is beyond time to believe in the San Francisco 49ers. After they are done staring in disbelief at their perceived absurdity of the question, they’ll blurt out a bunch of stats about the defense—which […]

Posted on October 27, 2019, by Travis Pulver Whenever LSU and Alabama play, the game is always one of the better ones of the year. The Tigers seem always to be one of the few teams capable of giving the Crimson Tide a good fight. But in the end, Alabama comes out on top, or […]

Posted on October 27, 2019, by Travis Pulver All of the one-loss teams at the top of the college football rankings owe the Kansas State Wildcats at least a thank-you card, if not a fruit basket. Why? Because since they beat Oklahoma Saturday afternoon, every one-loss team at the end of the regular season will […]

Posted on October 26, 2019, by Travis Pulver It is not uncommon for athletes to act in a boastful manner. They work hard, they play harder, and in the process, they generate some pretty intense emotions. When those emotions are flooding over them, like they were for Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger after the Longhorns beat […]

Posted on October 21, 2019, by Travis Pulver During the first three weeks of the NFL season, the bandwagon for the Dallas Cowboys got a bit crowded. Dak Prescott was suddenly the best quarterback ever. Jason Garrett deserved an extension, and hiring Kellen Moore despite his lack of experience was a genius move. But then […]

Posted on October 20, 2019, by Travis Pulver The Wisconsin Badgers have been on the outside looking in of the college football playoffs before. But heading into Saturday’s contest against Illinois, this season was shaping up to be the one. Their defense had only allowed 29 points and had recorded four shutouts so far this […]

Posted on October 19, 2019, by Travis Pulver The world came crashing down for many fantasy football players and fans of the Kansas City Chiefs Thursday night with the injury to Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City went on to win the game against the Broncos anyway.  But the win meant little with the injury to Mahomes. […]
